Weekly News

We've been seeing a lot of fuel control issues on Continental Engines lately. The recent and common sqwuak has been "Low fuel consumption" or "Low GPH with high cylinder head temperatures" or "High CHT and under powered take-offs."

Continental Engines recommends a 100hr fuel system adjustment. Fuel system adjustments can be a lengthy and costly procedure especially for Auto leaning fuel control systems. Fuel system adjustments are not a requirement, only a recommendation, which is why most owners choose not to comply. Continental recommends a 12-year overhaul for the entire fuel system.
